Goals

Short Term Goals

KFTHC's short term goals are to develop and implement a Therapeutic Riding Program and a Horses for Heroes Program in Madison County.
KFTHC's presence in Madison County will enable us to reach out to a larger community for participants and volunteers so that we can provide meaningful services to more individuals.  In addition to offering our two current programs (TR and H4H) KFTHC is working toward  development of a Therapeutic Driving Program which will give individuals the opportunity to learn how to drive a horse and carriage.
In the next year KFTHC will be developing and expanding relationships with the Boy and Girl Scouts, 4H, and the local school system to provide services to community youth; to expand the Families Ride Together Program; to offer an internship through Eastern Kentucky University and to work with EKU's Occupational Therapy students

Long Term Goals

In the coming years KFTHC plans to achieve accreditation and to become a PATH Premier Accredited Center. KFTHC wishes to create an inclusive community equestrian center where integration, not segregation, of individuals with disabilities is the rule.
