Junior Volunteers

The junior volunteers are the behind the scenes workers involved in horse care, feeding, training, and preparing the horses for sessions.

Junior Volunteers are:
  • Aged 10-18 (or with Program Director approval).
  • Not fearful of horses.
Able to adapt to change, be flexible and patient.
Report to the Head Wrangler and Volunteer Coordinator.
Junior Volunteers must complete daily and weekly chores outlined by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Duties Include:
Leading horses to and from pastures
Feeding horses.
Grooming and tacking horses.
Assist with evening turn-out.
Stall cleaning, cob webbing, tack cleaning.
