Horsemanship Activities

KFTHC's goal is that all rides will begin with the participant assisting with grooming and tacking his or her mount, and leading the horse to and around inside the arena.  These activities develop independence and responsibility.

Grooming and tacking one's horse helps develop a bond between horse and rider.

This activity also  helps develop body awareness and increases motor skills development.
